Excellent-again. I have been before and the update was worthwhile. The presenter is obviously an experienced, patient teacher. I appreciate his professional behavior and clarity with a very difficult topic.
•
Illuminating, appropriate for all levels of experience.
•
I attended this seminar three to four years ago, and it was critical in helping to revise a successful large grant application to the American Cancer Society. I wanted a refresher since the seminar was so valuable before, and I brought one of my grad students to help him improve his writing skills for upcoming fellowship applications.
•
This was extremely helpful- practical skills that will really help. I always wanted to attend something like this.
•
This seminar was very informative and extensive in the information offered.
•
The peek provided to the “behind the scenes” or unspoken rules of the review process has been very eye-opening. Also, I appreciate the emphasis on importance of background work prior to writing and the need to allow sufficient time and be assertive about getting that time. The examples provided will be very helpful- thank you.

Testimonials

“[The presenter] had a powerful, yet friendly presentation style that is not only hugely informative, but also reassuring that obtaining funding is feasible. His willingness to answer questions at the end of the session on broader topics than just grant writing was a pleasant and appreciated boon to the seminar.”

“One of the most dynamic and informative seminars I've attended at NIH. Hopefully there can be an increase in similar seminars in the future to accommodate all those who wish to attend. I would highly recommend this seminar to all.”
